If ICE is seen in your neighborhood or someone is detained, please call the L.A. Rapid Response Hotline at 888-624-4752. This 24/7 hotline is run by CHIRLA and connects callers to trained responders.

If someone has already been detained, Immigrant Defenders Law Center can provide legal guidance at 213-833-8283 (Mon–Fri, 9AM–4PM).

Protecting Your Workplace from ICE Guide Here is a snapshot:

  • Anyone- including ICE agents - can enter public areas of your business without permission.

  • Public areas include a dining area in a restaurant, parking lot, lobby or waiting area.

  • Being in a public area does NOT give ICE the authority to stop, question, or arrest just anyone.

  • No one can enter a private area of your organization without your permission or a judicial warrant.

  • One of the best defenses is to designate public vs. private areas clearly, and to have a plan with your staff ahead of time. You can find signage for that here
